Ways to influence amateur's athletes postural stability
Fišer, Jan ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title Ways to influence amateur s athletes postural stability Objectives The aim of this study is to describe the selected parameters of body composition and postural stability of the amateur s athletes (floorball players) group and to assess the efficiency of short-term intervention exercise based on senzomotor stimulation, acral coactivation therapy and plyometrics. Methods This work is a descriptive work, one part of it is the intervention. Two groups of amateur s athletes (floorball players) were examined during the study - intervention group(n = 16, average height = 178,23 cm (std 7,18), average weight = 80,04 (std 11,53), average age = 25,15 years (std3,31 )) and control group(n = 8, ave- rage height = 181,48 cm (std 5,59), average weight = 82,29 kg (std 11,20), average age = 27,07 let (2,68)). Each participant underwent the entrance measurement both on Footscan to evaluate the level of postural stability by selected parameters and on InBody 3.0 a Tanita to evaluate the level of body composition by selected parame- ters. Then the intervention group took part in the intervention exercise. After the six week intervention period underwent both groups the second measurement. The results of both measurements were evaluated, compared and statistically analyzed. Results The results showed great...
Impact of core muscle activation on postural function in people with multiple sclerosis
Birčáková, Martina ; Novotná, Klára (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the impact of activation of core muscles on postural function in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The aim is to assess the effect of Acral coactivational therapy (ACT) on core activation. Furthermore, we will be tracking the suitability of using this method with different types of MS. The thesis has a practical and a theoretical section. The theoretical section deals with the illness of MS, the term core muscles is defined here along with its effect on postural function and lastly, there is a chapter addressing the ACT method. The practical section involved six patients with three types of MS. The effect of the ACT method is described using two case studies. The results confirming the effect of the therapy are presented in the form of tables and graphs. The effect on postural function was assessed by aspect examination while sitting, standing and in movement strategy tests and also by walking tests (Timed 25 foot walk test, Timed up and go test and one leg stand). Core muslce activation was examined using tests by Professor Kolář. The discussion contains a comparison of our results with the results of foreign studies dealing with this issue. The results show an improvement in core muscle activation in all patients. The movement strategy tests which is part...
Effect of Jiu-Jitsu on children motor development from the perspective of physiotherapy. Subtitle: By using Acral coactivation therapy

Title: Effect of Jiu-Jitsu on children motor development from the perspective of physiotherapy By using Acral coactivation therapy Abstract: This bachelor thesis focuses on the effect of Jiu-Jitsu and Acral coactivation therapy on the motor skills of children of school age. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part gives a brief description of motor control, summarizes the research concerning motor skill development of children of school age, and provides a classification of motor skills. The theoretical part also introduces Jiu-Jitsu martial art and Acral coactivation therapy method. The practical part describes a three-month-long collaboration with ten children chosen from a Jiu-Jitsu training group. These ten children were split into two groups. One group practiced solely Jiu-Jitsu while the children from the second group practiced Jiu-Jitsu with added elements of ACT. Motor skill tests and ACT acras diagnoses were conducted at the beginning and end of a set time period. The goal of this thesis is an evaluation of the results of the Jiu-Jitsu and Acral coactivation therapy exercise conducted over a three month period. Tests have shown improvement in each motor skill classification. Jiu-Jitsu exercise has lead to an increase in strength, endurance, coordination,...

Bibliografický záznam BALLÝOVÁ, Monika. Impact of Arches and Acral Parts of Upper Limbs in Prop up Position on Coactivation of Muscle Chains - Pilot Study. Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports, 2016, 70 p., Supervisor: PhDr. Ingrid Palaščáková Špringrová, Ph.D. Abstract The Acral Coactivation Therapy, based on neurophysiology, is a method the principle of which consists in propping up on acral parts of the limbs with the aim to coactivate ventral and dorsal muscle chains in order to center the root joints and to straighten the axial skeleton subsequently. The practical part of the thesis is aimed at verification of the Acral Coactivation Therapy principles. Two groups of individuals were objects of the research: mountaineers and general population. Normal arches of upper limbs statistically prevailed in the group of the mountaineers, which proves the impact of regular physical activity on musculoskeletal system and its function. Surface electromyography recorded the impact of correction of the acral part on change in muscular activity. The results of the electromyographic measurement showed the same trends in muscular activity changes as the outcomes resulting from the Acral Coactivation Therapy. Statistically, the most substantial changes were...
